   I recieved this Product to find it smelled, and I was to recieve a cover , NO COVER, (THEY LIED) and will not recieve my complants!!!

   I have a very firm king-size mattress that leaves me with slightly achy hips and back. Now that I am pregnant again, I wanted to buy a memory foam topper to help reduce those uncomfortable pressure points. I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of this topper. Like many other reviews have noted, you have to let the topper air out for a few days. It came extremely compressed and I was a bit skeptical that it would actually turn out to be 4″ tall. But it did! The topper fit my king bed perfectly and weighed in at a hefty 40 pounds.

   I gave the topper only 4 stars because I think I bought too much of a good thing. If I didn’t have to pay return shipping, I’d like to exchange it for a 3″ high and slightly lower density pad, perhaps 4.5 or 5.5 instead of 6.5. My husband loves it and I find it more comfortable than the mattress alone, but it’s so thick and cushy it’s almost too much. Now, that’s not a fault of the topper; it was my own choice in buying this particular height and density.

   The topper does sleep warmer than just a mattress alone, which I don’t mind in the winter months.

   We ordered this, after much deliberation about our “brand new” bed. We bought a $1,600 top name brand bed in Oct.2005.We got the plush and not the pillow top because we were impressed by the girl jumping up and down on it while we were laying there, and neither one of us were moving. We just felt it was a sturdier bed. Well after a year of this, we decided it was just not soft enough. So we researched all the toppers and this was, by far, the thickest one we looked at, that fit our already very thick mattress, with a good price. It came in about 4 days, and we let it air out & open up by draping it over our pool table. “it grew over night!”
   
   Wow. We just absolutely love the difference it made on our bed. Now we are in search of the pillows to match! This was a great purchase that arrived quickly. We got used to sleeping on it in about 2 days. It just takes a night or two to adjust. Some people think these toppers are “hot”, but we don’t. It’s a great buy for the bucks. We love looking for stuff on Amazon. They get have so many great links and the stuff gets to you almost immediately. Buy the four inch. It does make your bed alot higher, but that extra inch will really make a difference. Of course then you have to buy the deep pocket sheets. But Amazon has links for that too!

   My husband and I have a very good mattress but as we’ve gotten older, we’ve had some problems with pressure points when we sleep. I tried a down mattress topper and believe me, the feathers everywhere was just not worth it!! We also have a down alternative mattress pad and really like it but it still didn’t relieve the pressure points enough. After much research, I thought I’d take a chance on this topper. It’s worth every penny!! I opened it up and really didn’t notice a smell but to be safe, I aired it out about 6 hours outside on my clothes line. It did grow some. Everything about this topper is a pro except for 2 cons. I waited to write this review so I could be totally informed and honest. The 2 cons are: I ordered a king size topper which should have been longer than wider. I got a square topper. It still works though but leaves about 2 inches short of the foot of the bed and hangs over about and inch on either side. Second, it does hold your body heat. My husband is cold-blooded by nature and even he noticed the increase in heat. I also have a mattress pad over the topper so we’re not sleeping right on it. The positives of this pad really outweigh the negatives. I love the four inch pad and wouldn’t go any other way. While the pad conforms to you, it doesn’t “hug” you too much to turn over. Also, as we’ve had the topper several months, there is no indentation where we sleep. I turn my mattress once a month and at the same time change the position of the topper. I don’t give anything 5 stars but I would have given this 4 1/2 if allowed. It’s really worth the money. My adult sons are begging for a topper for their dorm and apartment beds!!! Hope this helps you make an informed decision. I would definitely buy this again and haven’t regretted spending the money for one minute!!
